Silvey's Chubby Sally

Brian Silvey is well known as a steelhead guide and angler, but he has another secret super power, trout fishing. Brian has a lot of great trout patterns that produce fish and you can find many of them in the bins here at the shop. When it comes to spring and summer on the Deschutes, his Chubby Sally is our favorite for a hopper/dropper combo. This is one of Brian's best and a favorite dry fly pattern. It's visible, floats well and can easily suspend a heavy nymph. Then there's the fact that trout just eat it!

This is a straight forward, quick tying fly. In other words, a great guide fly.
