Going Out Swinging

I’m not going to lie…I’m still buzzing from landing my first steelhead on a Spey rod on the Deschutes River! The thrill of feeling that powerful run, the rush of adrenaline as the fish ran off, and the sense of accomplishment when I finally landed the beauty, it was exhilarating!

What made it even more special was exploring a new stretch of the river, which turned out to be a hidden gem and one that I can’t wait to return to. The entire experience was truly magical, and I couldn't wait to get back out there and do it all again!

My most sincere thanks to Josh Linn for showing me the lower Deschutes and giving me the opportunity to catch such a beautiful fish! These are the memories that will last a lifetime!
