Meet Spencer Pelham

Hey there, my name is Spencer, but you can call me, “The New Guy” or what seems to be the common one at the shop,“Bryan's Replacement.” Let’s be real - there is no replacing that awesome human, only the difficult task of providing half the value he brought to the shop.

I’m 30 years old and have been married to my high school sweetheart for 7 years. We have two dogs, a 9-year-old husky, and a 6-year-old long-haired dachshund. Besides the obvious obsession with fly fishing and fly tying, I enjoy digital photography and being outdoors as much as possible. I grew up in the Clackamas area and fished the Clackamas river and other local tributaries, mostly while making trips to the coast as regularly as possible.

My wife and I bought a house close to the Clackamas when we married, and that’s where I really developed an obsession with fly fishing. I've never been a numbers guy when it comes to fishing, which is probably why I gravitate toward swinging a fly or stripping big streamers. If I'm not working at the shop, you'll find me rowing some water and swinging runs looking for a player to take my fly.

The community at Royal Treatment is awesome, and the people I’ve had the opportunity to meet already have been very enjoyable and fun to talk with. I look forward to getting to know everyone more, and hopefully, I can be a helpful addition to this already amazing team.
