The Balloon Caddis is one of our favorite flies, floats like a cork, easy to see, and can suspend a dropper.
The Balloon Caddis is a great fly that’s easy and quick to tie. The foam front end helps to keep the fly afloat and is easy to see at distance or in rough water.
Recipe
Hook: FM 5050 dry fly hook
Thread: LT Olive
Body: Hare’s Ear Plus dubbing
Wing: Natural X Caddis Deer Hair
Thorax: Hare’s Ear Plus dubbing
Head: 2mm Foam
