Richard Harrington Bids West Coast Steelhead Farewell

In a business like a fly shop, friendships form that transcend the normal customer/shopkeeper relationships. It's always hard to say goodbye to friends who have become part of the family when they move to other parts of the country. And so, with a bit of selfish sadness, we say farewell to our dear friend Richard Harrington as he prepares to move closer to family on the East Coast, and away from his beloved Steelhead.
Richard is well known for his penchant for old clacky reels, bamboo rods, and leaky waders. He's been seen hanging out with everyone from the steelheading jet set to tweed jackets and greaseliners.
Over the years, Richard has been a regular face in the shop, building many friendships within our growing community and adding to the bouillabaisse of conversation flavors on any given Saturday in the shop. His presence at our various events will be missed, especially at our White Elephant Gift Exchange, where his beautiful artwork is constantly fought over.
Join us on Saturday, May 3rd, as we bid farewell, for now, to our good friend and send him off in style. We'll have refreshments, and Richard will be at the Tyer's Table from 10:30 to 1:00.
