Legendary river guide, industry consultant, entomologist, and custom fly designer Brian Silvey stops by the shop on Saturday, March 28th, with a visual presentation on Deschutes Hatches Throughout the Season. Brian is a recognized expert on the seasonal hatches occurring on our favorite Trout stream, and his original patterns can be found in fly bins across the West. Patterns like Silvey's Super Sinker, Chubby Sally, Silvey's Pupa, and Hatching Mayfly are just a few of the patterns that have earned permanent placement in my rotation over the years, and knowing the man behind the design instills plenty of confidence when I reach in the box.
