Tyer's Table with Jamarr Breazeale

We have a very special guest at the Tyer's Table this Saturday, as Jamarr Breazeale makes the long drive from Umatilla to share a few of his favorite Steelhead patterns. Jamarr lives on the Umatilla Indian Reservation east of Pendleton, Oregon, and we are honored to host him for this popular Saturday event. His patterns express a classic style, with a twist of individuality. You won't want to miss this session of the Tyer's Table. The fun starts at 10:30 this Saturday, June 21st.
Meet Jamarr...
"I was born and raised in the Columbia River Basin of Northeast Oregon as a Umatilla tribal member. My Grandfather was the first one to get me into fly fishing. Although he wasn't an angler himself, but he encouraged my fascination by getting me out on the water.
Having a few lessons as a kid, I started tying flies less than 5 years ago and picked up a two-handed rod in the spring of 2023. In a very short time, I became utterly obsessed with the beautiful flies and the pursuit of dryline Steelhead. My friends have always been my biggest inspiration, from encouraging me to pick up a two-hander to sharing their knowledge and experience.
My favorite river is the Snake; all rivers are special in their own way, but wading in the big water of the Snake River, looking up at Hell's Canyon, is hard to beat. If I could travel anywhere to fish, my bucket list trip would be to swing flies and pitch dries in Newfoundland for Atlantic Salmon. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and sharing a few of my patterns. I'll see you Saturday!"
