Patagonia ~ Argentina Hosted Trip

Get a jump on summer in 2025 and join Jennifer and Joel La Follette for seven and a half days of summertime dry fly fishing in Patagonia. We'll be fishing three different rivers during our stay and accessing the water in guided drift boats. This trip has been scheduled to maximize our dry fly opportunities in summertime conditions.

Our local hosts for this adventure will be the experienced staff of Chocolate Lab Expeditions. Ron and Vennessa Sorensen have 27 years in the fishing business and 22 years of guiding and outfitting clients in Patagonia, Argentina.

The area around the town of San Martin de los Andes offers some of the finest fly-fishing in the world. Located in the northern zone of Patagonia, this area boasts a diversity of fisheries, accommodations, and experiences- from expansive estancias offering miles of private access to fully catered wilderness float trips, the quaint town of San Martin with its shops, many restaurants, Nicklaus Signature golf course, and fine hotels. Our waters range from small mountain streams, spring creeks, and fast-paced freestones in the wooded Andes to large tailwaters and rivers twisting through the high steppe country.

Feb 13-20, 2025

7.5 days fishing

Depart the US on Feb 11, arrive in Buenos Aires early am on Feb 12, and overnight in BsAs.

Or- Depart US on Feb. 12, arrive in Buenos Aires early AM Feb 13 (3.5 hr minimum time required between flights)

Jan 13 Depart BsAs for Patagonia 

Depart Patagonia Feb 21, Arrive back to US on Feb. 22

Feb 13-

Arrive at Chapelco Airport, San Martin de Los Andes

CLE guides transfer you 20 minutes to the Chimehuin River House

Settle in & lunch

Float the pm on the Chimehuin

Return to the lodge after fishing, open bar, dinner, and night at the lodge

Feb 14-

Breakfast at the lodge

Float the Chimehuin for the day with a riverside picnic

Return to the lodge in the evening

Open bar, dinner, and night at the lodge

Feb 15-

Breakfast at the lodge

Float the lower Chimehuin for the day with a riverside picnic

Arrive at the confluence with the Collon Cura

Take out on a private lease, and transfer 20 min to Estancia Collon Cura

Open bar, dinner, and night at the lodge

Feb 16 & 17-

Breakfast at the lodge

Float the Collon Cura River for the day with a riverside picnic

Return to the lodge in the evening

Feb 18

Transfer 1.5 hrs to Limay River Ranch

Float the Limay River for the day with a riverside picnic

Return to the lodge in the evening

Settle in, then appetizers and open bar before dinner, dinner, and night at the lodge.

Feb 19 & 20

Float the Limay for the day with a riverside picnic.

Return to the lodge in the evening.

Feb 21-

Breakfast at LRR

Pack and transfer 2.5 hours to Chapelco Airport, San Martin de los Andes.

Cost per person based on double occupancy- $7,500

50% Deposit per person - $3,750

Balance payment due prior to Nov 21, 2023 - $3,750

Includes- Chapelco airport transfers, all accommodations, guiding, all meals, open bar before dinner at the estancias, fishing license, all flies, and if requested- wading boots, rods, & reels.

This does Not Include Airfare, hotels or transfers in Buenos Aires, gratuities, waders, leaders & tippet, or additional costs resulting from changes to the itinerary beyond the outfitter’s control.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

A 50% deposit is required within 10 working days to hold a reservation.  Deposits are non-refundable unless another client is found for the same itinerary on the same dates.  The trip balance is due prior to 60 days before the start of the client’s trip and is non-refundable. If we do not receive notification of cancellation in writing before the 60-day deadline, you are responsible for full payment. Cancellations will forfeit all monies paid unless a replacement can be found. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
