Kid's Day at Royal Treatment Fly Fishing

Casting games, fly tying, hot dogs, and the world-famous "Bug Boat" return for our first Post-Covid Kid's Fly Fishing Day. Load up the family Truckster with all the neighborhood youngsters and bring them down for a day of fun and fly fishing. We'll have instructors on hand to share the basics of the sport we all love. Start them early, and teach them to love the outdoors!
Kid's Day Events:
Casting Games and Prizes with ODFW casting instructor Chris Foster and Royal Treatment's Fly Casting Instructor, Jennifer La Follette. Learn the basics of fly casting and win prizes! Young anglers will get a "Fly Fishing License" to fill out during their visit to qualify for our Echo Gecko giveaway.
Hands-on Fly Tying at the Tyer's Table. Learn the Art of Fly Tying and take home a new "Secret Fly. Kids of all ages are invited to try their hand at fly tying at the Tyer's Table this Saturday. We'll have volunteers on hand to help you craft that special fly to catch the big one! Materials, hooks, vises, tools, and expert instruction will be provided.
Learn about aquatic insects and other underwater creatures at the world-famous "Bug Boat." Stop at the "Bug Boat" and check off which bugs and other critters you spot swimming or crawling between the rocks. Young anglers who check all the boxes on their "Fly Fishing License" will be entered into a drawing to win an Echo Gecko Fly Rod from our friends at Rajeff Sports/Echo.
