This location is ideal for couples and friends alike wishing to get away from the chill of the Northwest to chase bonefish, permit, and tarpon, or simply relax on the beach. For non-fishing partners wishing to test the angling waters, we will have free, professional instructional sessions covering casting, knots, and angling techniques leading up to, and during the trip to help you get the most from your experience. Arrival and Departure Details / Times – Grand Slam Lodge
It is very important to schedule your arrival time into Cancun International Airport (CUN) BEFORE 3:00 PM and also book your return flights for AFTER 1:00 PM. This is very important to ensure for a smooth transfer to and from the lodge and the airport. If you book your flights outside this window, you may be charged for a private transfer or have to overnight in Cancun prior to arrival at the Lodge. The driving portion of the transfer is around two hours. The remainder of the transfer is typically by boat through the Boca Paila Lagoon. This boat ride is approximately one hour long, and passes directly through "Permit Alley." If the weather is rough or rainy, you may be transferred by van directly to the Lodge, which makes the total time from Cancun approximately four hours.
