Growing up in rural Indiana offered limited access to water and rivers. Maybe that explains Cherie's passion for the water and everything in and around it. You always seem to want what you can not have! Michigan was a frequent travel location in order to enjoy fly fishing rivers such as the Pierre Marquette, the AuSable, and the Manistee Rivers, along with sailing on Lake Michigan. She has always been an artist, even when raising a family and running her successful commercial interior design practice for over 25 years. Now that the kids are all grown and moved their separate ways, she and her husband seized the opportunity to move to Oregon, providing even more opportunities to draw, paint and fish the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The Umpqua and the Mackenzie Rivers are so different than the Midwest rivers. Grateful to have the chance to experience each and paint the scenes!
