PDX Women on the Fly Spey Day

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday for a fun day on the water! This will be a casual community-type learning environment and an opportunity to ask questions and get help if you choose! Or fish around the park and meet back up for lunch - with perhaps a story to share

Echo has graciously lent us their lineup of Spey rods to demo for the day. If you would like to cast one, please wear waders/boots.

We are keeping an eye on the weather. So far it looks like it’s going to be nice and rainy! The Alder day-use area is covered, the river is not.

Schedule:
9 AM - Meet at Alder Day Use Area / Coffee
10:30 AM-2 PM Fish around the park or hang out on the bank below Alder Day Use Area for Spey demos/practice.
2:00 PM- Lunch at covered Alder Day Use area and raffle
3-7 PM- Fish around or hangout, park closes at sunset.

*There is a $5 fee per vehicle for use of Oxbow Park (cash/card ok)

We are going to have a limited supply of coffee in the morning, so if you would like some please bring a mug.

Hot dogs/veggie dogs for lunch with some sides and nonalcoholic beverages will be provided for lunch. (Park is alcohol-free). During lunch we’ll do a raffle - everyone who attends will get a free raffle ticket!

This is a free event but we happily accept donations that go back to covering expenses and future events.
