Hardy 150th Anniversary Party

In honor of their 150th Year of building the finest fly reels in the world, Hardy reissued their Lightweight series of fly reels, including the LRH Lightweight and Princess. To continue the celebration, Hardy has chosen a few locations around the world (only 25 in the US) to hold a special "150th Anniversary Party," and Royal Treatment Fly Fishing is one of those locations!

10:30-3:30 Project Healing Waters casting contest starts at the "Trout Pond"

10:30-4:00 Casting, Vintage Hardy Reel display, Hardy Reel evaluation

11:30 Anniversary Cake cutting! The cake is served!

2:00 A Toast to Hardy! Dress like a proper subject of the Queen, or bring your leaky British car to score a Hardy Tumbler for the toast!

3:30-4:00 Finishing up the casting contest and drawing the winner!

Representatives of Hardy Brothers of England will be on hand to answer questions and show off their complete product line. Cast the latest Hardy rods, and check out the newly released fly reels in the Hardy line-up.

We've commissioned a giant cake to share with everyone in honor of this special event! Our friends at Market of Choice in West Linn are legendary for their delicious cakes, and if you've ever attended one of our anniversary parties, you know that to be true! We'll have plenty for everyone and will start dishing it up at 11:30 so as not to spoil your early lunch plans. Remember, always eat dessert first!

Hardy and Royal Treatment Fly Fishing will be hosting a casting competition for all levels of casters and giving away a lovely 3 3/4 "Olympic" Model Bougle to benefit Project Healing Waters, an organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings. 

We'll have a collection of vintage Hardy's reels on hand for display and education from the personal collection of Jennifer La Follette. Bring in your old reels for free servicing to ensure years of trouble-free angling.

Hardy Brothers have graciously provided limited edition gifts for those in attendance and we'll have a special "Hardy" cake. Be sure to get here early before the refreshments and Hardy swag runs out!
