Introduction to Steelhead Flies
Capacity: 6 (50% booked)
This class introduces the tyer to a variety of steelhead flies from classic hair wings to modern chicken size Intruders. If you are ready to leave behind size 18 hooks and goose biots to enter the wonderful world of marabou and fox, this is your class.
During this two-session course, you will learn techniques to construct hair wings, feather wings, articulated steelhead flies, and the ability to apply these skills toward other steelhead patterns. It is required that you have some prior trying experience. If you've mastered the Wooly Bugger or tied a dozen Elk Hair Caddis and know which way the thread comes out of the bobbin, you’re good.
Classes will be held on March 7th and 14th at 6:00 PM. Our own Nick Wheeler is the instructor and this class will be limited to a maximum of 6 students. Cost is $65.00 and includes all materials and supplies.
